creation of accurate digital twins for existing process plants. This appro
ach streamlines the reconstruction process by automatically detecting asse

flowsheets\, this approach eliminates the time-consuming process of recon
structing as-built CAD models. The second main advantage is that it offers
very short update cycles\, where users in the field can keep asset inform

About this Presentation
3D imaging combined with AI enables the rapid creation of
accurate digital twins for existing process plants. This approach streaml
ines the reconstruction process by automatically detecting assets (piping
and associated process equipment) within 3D surveys of very large plants.
Combined with the detection of lines and symbols in existing 2D flowsheets
\, this approach eliminates the time-consuming process of reconstructing a
s-built CAD models. The second main advantage is that it offers very short
update cycles\, where users in the field can keep asset information synch
ronised\, by annotating P&\;IDs or generating 3D updates of newly insta
lled equipment from a video taken with my mobile device (smartphone\, work
tablet). This ensures that technical information update times are always
shorter than installation modification times.
