Grace Overseas has a rich history in the logistics sector, one that places them in the enviable position as a reputable, respected and highly sought-after freight company.

The business was established in 1985 by Peter and Veronica Cooney, both of whom brought to the business over 40 years of experience in the freight and logistics industries. Named after Peter’s mother, Grace Overseas benefited from the strong network of contacts that Peter and Veronica had built in the Manchester area, and with family members taking up prominent positions at the Salford and Manchester docks, the business thrived.

To this day Grace Overseas remains a family run business, with Peter and Veronica’s daughter, Sarah Taylor taking over as Managing Director. With countless members of the team having been with them since incorporation we can state with confidence that we know and understand the industry inside out.

Our Certifications

In 1992, Grace Overseas became one of the first freight forwarding companies to receive the prestigious BS5750 certification for ‘quality systems’. They are also delighted to have maintained a trio of ISO certifications, Investors in People, BRC and Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification, which evidences their position as a secure, efficient and compliant part of the international supply chain.
