About this exhibitor

Formaldehyde-based adhesives (UF) are the standard in the engineered wood industry, but they are fossil fuel-derived, toxic, carcinogenic, non-sustainable, and contribute to environmental harm, including increased CO2 emissions and landfill waste that further contaminates soil and rivers. Recognized as one of the top indoor air pollutants by the EU scientific committee, formaldehyde is facing new legislation aimed at limiting its use in engineered wood products.

BindEthics, founded in 2021, has developed a sustainable bio-based adhesive to replace traditional UF adhesives. The focus is on creating a formulation primarily derived from industrial waste products, contributing to a circular economy. This innovative adhesive, Ecohesive, is designed to be non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and price competitive, making it an attractive alternative for wood product manufacturing.
